Troubleshooting A Water Heater

Find a licensed plumber to assist you with your water heater repair.

What about tankless water heaters? What's the difference between a tankless water heater and a hot water storage tank water heater? Is one better than the other? Well, that really depends on your household and your home. Do you value having hot water instantly when you want it? Do you want to save money initially or over time. Are you concerned about energy use and conservation? Well, compare both types of water heaters:

Tankless water heaters heat water on demand while storage tank water heaters store water that must be reheated using more energy, thus more heating costs over time.

Tankless water heaters will have an endless supply of heated water unlike the storage tank water heater which will run out as soon as the heated water has be used. If you have teenagers in the house that enjoy long hot showers, this may or may not be a benefit.

Tankless water heaters generally last longer and typically require less maintenance than storage tank water heaters. However, the initial purchase and install costs are higher for a tankless water heater.

Tankless water heaters take up less space than storage tank water heaters.

Talking with qualified license plumber with experience installing both types of water heaters is recommended. Understanding your needs and preferences will help you decide if one or the other would be an appropriate choice for your household.
